SECOND DAY LUNCH SMOOTHIE

STILL GREEN
Actually a little less green, I only used 2 stalks of celery instead of 4 and it definitely tastes a little less green.
Much better, that is the plan for tomorrow's lunch as well.

OOPS! I FORGOT!

Realized that I forgot my morning tea cleanse.  So I guess I will drink it as my morning break. It's 10:30 and not really hungry.  This is usually a hungry time of the day for me when I just feel like snacking.  But doing OK now, passed up a bunch of goodies in the kitchen when I made my tea.

Why do I have so much of a problem following rules?
PS:  It's not that I have drunk a lot of Coke (I have).  I just have a lot of Coke memorabilia I guess.

SECOND DAY OF DR. OZ THREE DAY DETOX

Skipped the dinner smoothie on Day One.  After my shower, took a couple of aspirin and went to bed.  Slept well last night with a pee wakeup at 1:00 and 4:00.  But a full 8 hours making me feel good. Thank goodness the incessant peeing seems to have slowed today.  I do seem to be drinking quite a bit of water, but haven't really kept track of it. 
Walked Reba around Spiegel Grove around 8:00 this morning. No one was out and about since the weather was so heavy--gray and misty.
Since I couldn't manage the last smoothie last night, I decided on blending and drinking for breakfast this morning. Am just going to have to adjust the other meals and eat breakfast drink either for lunch or the snack today.  I must say the dinner drink is pretty but . . . don't think it looks like something I would normally choose to drink.  Looks like lumpy tar.

Doesn't taste too bad.  Blueberry and banana.  Also, I didn't have any coconut water which recipe called for so wound up using almond milk instead.  Don't know if that makes a significant difference or not.

FIRST DAY DINNER DRINK AND WRAP UP

Well, as usual, I have a hard time sticking to the rules.  Put the ingredients into the Ninja and did a foot soak like supposed to be an Epsom salt bath.  Took a shower, put the blender container in the frig and went to bed. Was fast asleep by 9:00. I had no desire to drink the dinner smoothie.

FIRST DAY SNACK

It's after 5:00 and I am just now drinking my snack smoothie.  Since the snack is a smoothie of choice, I of course chose the Breakfast Drink.  But I am really not hungry.

Update:  It's almost 7:00 now and I feel like snacking.  Not feeling hungry, just the corn chips that I just passed would have been so easy to grab a few.  Still have to make and drink that last dinner shake.  My head doesn't exactly hurt, but doesn't feel real good either.  Maybe I will make the shake and take a shower and then drink the shake.  Shouldn't drink so close to bedtime.  We shall see.  I can testify that it is definitely cleaning out the kidneys.  I am peeing at least once an hour.

No problem waiting until lunch.  Felt full until lunch time and then wanted to eat some real food not junk food.  Now about the lunch drink.

Can't say that I really love it.  It's one of those ok kind of things but is taking me a while to drink.  The recipe calls for 4 celery stalks.  I think that 2 would be sufficient tastewise.  Also, I found that I had to blend first half of ingredients before adding the last half.  Still the quantity was above the MAX mark on the NutriBullet container.
Check out the MAX mark on container.  I didn't have any problem with the NutriBullet although I had read reviews describing major leaking when filled above that MAX mark.  It seems to have blended well and generally worked fine.

What will I do differently next time:  I think the flaxseed didn't get ground quite enough.  It wasn't gross or anything like that but it could have been smoother.  I probably should have blended longer or else I should have put in the flaxseed first for a little pre-smoothie blend.

FIRST DAY !!!
Can't believe that I am actually doing something.  Have been mostly snowed in since the New Years. Am starting the Dr. Oz three day detox. It sounds like it is something that I can follow.  Here is a pic of the AM green tea and lemon.
I used a meyer lemon.  Lots of seeds, so the pic was less pretty than it could have been if I wouldn't have dug out the seeds.  Since I often drink a cup of green tea in the morning, its been no hardship so far.
